Department of Medicine "Global Health" Grand Rounds

Karen Goraleski, Executive Director of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, will be presenting Medicine Grand Rounds on February 27th. She will speak about the importance of research and innovation in global health and tropical medicine worldwide. She will address the current climate in Washington, D.C. as it relates to research in tropical diseases. She has a very articulate and powerful message for the academic and research community, and the need for a fundamental shift in how we communicate with key stakeholders including Congress, the CDC and the NIH. 

Karen Goraleski's visit is hosted by a collaboration between the Center for Global Health and Social Responsibility and the Departments of Medicine and Pediatrics.
