Global Health Course
May 5, 2014 through May 30, 2014

2014 LIVE GLOBAL HEALTH COURSE AGENDA:
The Global Health Course is offered in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and consists of four            separate weeks, running from May 5 through May 30, 2014.  The goal of this Course will be to provide participants with                     preparatory guidance and the hands-on experience required for the ASTMH Certificate of Knowledge Examination.  The Live Global Health Course modules will include didactic lectures as well case presentations, classroom discussions, simulation scenarios, and laboratory sessions.  The complete Global Health Course curriculum has been designed to cover all core topics required for the ASTMH Certificate of Knowledge Examination.  To meet ASTMH certification exam requirements, week 3 and week 4 of the LIVE Global Health Course modules PLUS all seven Online Global Health Course modules must be completed.

CME ACCREDITATION:
The University of Minnesota is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  The University of Minnesota designates this live activity for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  The determination of the number of credits is pending review of the final agenda.  Physicians should claim only the  credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.  Other health care professionals who participate in this CME activity may submit their Statements of Attendance to their appropriate accrediting organizations or state boards for consideration of credit.  The participant is responsible for determining whether this activity meets the requirements for acceptable continuing education.

Asian Clinical Tropical Medicine Course

Siem Reap, Cambodia July 11 - 13, 2014
 

Join the Faculty of Tropical Medicine at Mahidol University, the University of Ottawa, and the University of
Minnesota as they co-host the 5th Asian Clinical Tropical Medicine Course in beautiful Bangkok, Thailand.
Healthcare providers with experience and/or a special interest in clinical tropical medicine or infectious disease
are invited to attend.
 

The course consists of unique lectures, demonstrations, workshops, and clinical rounds in various hospitals in
Thailand. Lectures, workshops, and demonstrations will involve the entire group. Clinical rounds will be in
small groups.
